A highly anticipated film version of the beloved Roald Dahl children’s classic, an acronym anyone of a certain age will instantly know stands for Big Friendly Giant (and I’m showing my age as the book was first published in 1982). Steven Spielberg directs this tale of a young London girl named Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) and the mysterious Giant, The BFG (Mark Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country.
