Bolshoi Babylon
The theatre directors of the internationally renowned Bolshoi Ballet in Russia have allowed the backstage process to be documented in this film which looks at the dancers’ artistic and athletic talents, their abiding fear of injury and the ruthless ambition needed to survive in the world’s most famous ballet company. See the official webpage for more and check Find Any Film for where you can watch the film.
The Hateful Eight
Kurt Russell bags the main role in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film (appropriately enough, his eighth as director), as a bounty hunter bringing in Jennifer Jason Leigh to face the might of the law in the town of Red Rock. Along the way they encounter a number of mysterious people who are also travelling to the same destination. As a snow storm rages, it becomes apparent they might not all make it to Red Rock. The trailer looks arresting and visceral as one would expect from Tarantino. This will be playing all across the UK. See the official website for more.
Partisan
Alexander, a boy who has been raised in a sequestered commune, finds that his increasing unwillingness to fall in line puts him on a collision course with Gregori (Vincent Cassel), the society’s charismatic and domineering leader. Showing in key cities only, check Find Any Film for your nearest cinema. The official website has more detail.
