Bone Tomahawk

Kurt Russell is clearly in Western mode at present, as this horror in the west film follows his recent starring role in Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. He leads as one of four men who head off into the deepest, darkest corner of the wild West to rescue a group of captives from cannibalistic cave dwellers. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip

If you loved the first three big screen versions of the popular children’s cartoon from the 80’s, then you are in for a treat this weekend. Through a series of misunderstandings, chipmunk pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore believe that their ‘father’ Dave (Jason Lee) is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother. Dad’s Army (2016)

Film review of the comedy, based on the classic British TV series, about the actions and adventures of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard platoon, comprised mostly of elderly men and led by an officious, hierachy obsessed bank manager (Toby Jones) who must deal with a beautiful female reporter (Catherine Zeta Jones) and a German spy as World War II comes to a close.
